Celebrity Taylor Swift has addressed the debacle caused by Ticketmaster which was officially in charge of selling tickets for her upcoming tour in 2023. There was utter chaos in the first round following which the second round was canceled. Fans are super excited to see her perform live on her Eras tour but were disappointed by the chaos at Ticketmaster which denied tickets to many of them, who had pre-registered.
Earlier, fans had extended support to the multi-talented, record breaking singer on social media. Her recent album Midnights songs reached all the top ten spots on Billboard. Now, the singer has publicly addressed the problematic Tickemaster sales incidents.
According to a report in The Guardian, celebrity Taylor Swift said that it was “excruciating” for her to “watch mistakes happen with no recourse.” She posted on social media that she asked the site “multiple times if they could handle” the demand and they had assured her and her team that they could do so.
She said that she had brought many “elements” of her career in-house with her team so that they could “SPECIFICALLY” improve the quality that was offered to her fans. She mentioned that it was difficult for her to “trust an outside entity with these relationships and loyalties” and that it was “excruciating” for her to watch Ticketmaster create chaos and disappoint her fans, whom she and her team cared about so much.

She said that it “really pisses me off” that a lot of fans felt like they had to go through many bear attacks to get the tickets. She also hoped to provide more opportunities “to all get together and sing these songs” for those fans who were unable to get the tickets.
Ticketmaster, which merged with Live Nation in 2010, will face renewed public scrutiny after its colossal mess up. It caused delays, failures in its websites, outright cancelations and subsequent resale prices reportedly $ 22,000 on Stubhub.
Incidentally, Taylor Swift’s public comments on the chaos created by Ticketmaster were made on the same day the NYT reported that that its parent company Live Nation Entertainment was facing an antitrust investigation by the Department of Justice in the U.S. This was a investigation that began prior to the ticketing fiasco.
