Celebrity Sonya Eddy died at a hospital in Burbank, California, “due to an uncontrollable infection (following) a scheduled, non-emergency surgery,” according to Ford.
Octavia Spencer was the first to confirm the soap star’s death, according to Page Six. She posted an Instagram photo of Eddy the day after she died. Spencer stated: “My friend @sonyaeddy died last night. Another creative angel has left the world. Her legions of fans at @generalhospitalabc will miss her.
