Celebrity singer Ricky Martin was accused of domestic violence, in June but the alleged victim’s name was not known. Now, it has been reported that the victim has been identified as a nephew of the Puerto Rican singer. Dennis Yadiel Sanchez is the son of the singer’s half sister, Vanessa Martin. This new information could bring forth additional charges of incest as the alleged victim is related to Ricky Martin.
On Friday, Spanish news website Marca reported the identity of the alleged victim. According to the website, the accuser is Ricky Martin’s 21-year old nephew named Dennis Yadiel Sanchez. This new revelation indicates that the celebrity could face up to five decades in prison as per the incest laws in Puerto Rico. The site also said that the complainant was identified as his nephew by Eric Martin, who is another brother of the Ricky Martin.

The victim alleged that Ricky Martin inflicted physical and psychological attacks on him, when they were in a relationship for seven months. The spokesman also said that Ricky Martin was not able to handle the end of the relationship and that’s why he called him and persecuted him.
The trial will begin on July 21. The celebrity singer’s nephew Dennis Yadiel Sanchez will answer questions in front of a judge. There is also a report that a magistrate had placed a restraining order after the alleged domestic violence charge was made.
Ricky Martin and his legal team strongly denied the allegations. On July 4, 2022, the celebrity singer posted on Twitter that the “protection order” entered against him was based on totally “false allegations” and that he would “respond through the judicial process.”
Ricky Martin’s legal team said that the person who made the claims against the celebrity singer was someone who was “struggling with deep mental health challenges.” The team also stated that the “idea” was “untrue” and the person needed to get help. The celebrity’s legal team also said that they were looking forward to the judge dismissing the case after he looked at the facts.
