Celebrity Sean Diddy Combs submitted paperwork in court on Tuesday challenging gang rape claims filed by a Jane Doe. The girl, who was 17 years old when the alleged sexual assault took place, has accused Sean Diddy Combs, Harve Pierre, former Bad Boy president, and a third unidentified person. The sexual assault allegedly took place in 2003 at his Manhattan recording studio.
In an 11-page answer that was filed in the Southern District of New York, the statement said that “(Combs) never participated in, witnessed, or was or is presently aware of any misconduct, sexual or otherwise, relating to the plaintiff, in any circumstance whatsoever” and more, according to a report in Rolling Stone.
Combs complained about the suit’s timing and challenged the submitted photographs. One shows the plaintiff sitting on his lap, allegedly in his house, while the other shows her in his studio.
The woman’s lawyer, attorney Douglas Wigdor, told Rolling Stone, “The deeply troubling allegations against the defendants by multiple women speak for themselves. The ridiculous claim that the photos are somehow fake and the law is unconstitutional is nothing more than a desperate attempt to conjure a defense where none exists.”
Jane Doe, who filed the December 6 lawsuit, is the fourth person to do so. The first lawsuit against Sean Diddy Combs was filed by R&B singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura. She accused him of serial sexual assault, trafficking, and much more. The suit was settled one day after it was filed.
Following this, two accusers filed suits against him on Thanksgiving Day. Jane Doe said she got the courage to speak up against the horrific nonconsensual assaults after Cassie filed a case against Sean Diddy Combs.
Sean Diddy Combs stepped down from the chairmanship of Revolt, a media company he founded. Liquor giant Diageo also removed him as the face of their company after lawsuits were filed against him, and the two parties reached a permanent settlement in January.
The famous R&B rapper was nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album for The Love Album: Off The Grid. Sean Diddy Combs avoided the recently held Grammy Awards event after his nomination created controversy.
