Bryan Randall, Sandra Bullock’s longtime partner, passed away on Monday after a quiet struggle with ALS, according to his family. The photographer “passed away peacefully” over the weekend, He began dating the Oscar-winning actress in 2015. He was 57.
“It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS,” his family shared. “Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request. We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours,” his family added.
Bullock, 59, first worked with model-turned-photographer Randall when he documented the birth of her son Louis in January 2015. Later on in the year, they made more of an effort to make their relationship known, notably by attending Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding.
