Celebrity actor Richard Gere was hospitalized in Mexico, while vacationing with his family. The Pretty Woman actor was in Nayarit, along with his children to celebrate his wife’s 40th birthday. Social media personality and publicist Alejandra Gere posted photos of her vacation with her family which indicated that all was well with them.

Alejandra posted a photo with their children on the beach, on Thursday. The next day she posted a picture of Richard Gere wearing a mask and enjoying the pleasant weather, indicating that her husband is on the path of recovery. He reportedly suffered from a bout of pneumonia. On Saturday, she posted a photo of the celebrity couple with one of their children that confirmed that Gere is recovering.

She thanked everyone for the birthday wishes and said that everyone in the family had been ill and that finally she felt better. She thanked everyone for the love and wishes and gave it back to them.
Golden globe awardee Richard Gere married Alejandra Silva in 2018. They share two sons, one of whom is called Alexander. He is four years old and another son, who was born in 2020.
Richard Gere had reportedly developed a terrible cough much before the trip to Mexico. He was unable to get rid of it, before their vacation. His health took a turn for the worse in Mexico and he was placed under the care of Mexican doctor

The 73-year-old actor had checked himself into a hospital after his cough became worse. He stayed overnight at the hospital according to reports. He was discharged the next day and was given medication. He and his family are continuing with their Mexican vacation.
There was no immediate response from actor Richard Gere’s representative, when asked for comment.
