Celebrity Rebel Wilson recently spoke about being asked to commit a lewd act in the comedy film The Brothers Grimsby. She acted in the 2016 movie with Sacha Baron Cohen. She said that she had recounted the uncomfortable experience in her memoir. She also said she doesn’t want to cancel anybody but mentioned the need for women to speak up and share such experiences. Sacha Baron Cohen vehemently denied the accusations.
Rebel Wilson said she agreed to act in a comedy film in which Sacha Baron Cohen (SBC) was her co-star. He also co-wrote and produced the same 2016 film, The Brothers Grimsby. She described incidents, including one where he asked her “to stick your finger up my ass,” in a report by People Magazine.
Rebel Wilson said that she was scared and wanted to leave the scene, so she “finally compromised: I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.”
She also said that the film bombed and was “karma” and that she had shared the incident not to cancel anybody but to share such incidents so fewer of them occur in the future.
Earlier, the Pitch Perfect star had mentioned on social media that an unnamed a*****e had tried to prevent her from writing about him in her memoir. In a later post on Sunday, she mentioned that the Hollywood person was Sacha Baron Cohen
Sacha Baron Cohen vehemently denied the sequence of the lewd incident on the film set. A rep for the 52-year-old Borat star said in a statement that they had ”extensive detailed evidence, including contemporary documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.”
Celebrity Australian actress Rebel Wilson’s memoir Rebel Rising is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2024.
