On Thursday, three people were taken into custody, according to authorities, in connection with the alleged attack on celebrity rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying that three persons had been arrested and booked for assaulting and robbing Daniel Hernandez, which is the real name of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office identified the three persons as Rafael Medina Jr., who is 43-years old, Octavious Medina who is 23-years old and Anthony Maldonado who is 25-years old. According to jail records, 43-year-old Medina and 25-year-old Maldonado have been held on suspicion of charges that include felony battery and robbery. There was no record available for 23-year-old Octavious Medina.

Lawyer Lazzaro had said that a few people had approached his client Tekashi and “beat him up” when he was in a sauna south of West Palm Beach. The celebrity had visited the LA Fitness in the county, on March 21.
Lazzaro also said that Tekashi had tried to fight back but the attackers were in a group and he was outnumbered. They allegedly fled the scene when employees at the gym heard the noise and decided to alert the authorities.

At that time, the sheriff’s office had released a statement that noted that deputies had been informed of an altercation at the gym. The statement also mentioned that the rapper had non-life-threatening injuries and that he had been taken to the hospital.
Videos that were posted on social media showed clips of the fight and there were also photos of the celebrity rapper showing his injuries as well as showing blood on his face.
Celebrity rapper Tekashi 6ixnine has a multiplatinum hit song with celebrity singer Nicki Minaj. The song called Fefe reached number 3 on pop charts. He also had another super hit song called “Stoopid.” It featured rapper Bobby Shmurda, who was released from prison in 2021.
Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine faced 47 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of charges that included racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking. His sentence was reduced as his testimony helped authorities convict two major gang leaders.
