Controversial celebrity Kanye West, who is now called Ye, recently posted on social media that the Black Lives Matter (BLM) was a “scam.” He posted this statement after a recent fashion show in Paris, where he wore a sweater which read “White Lives Matter.” The rapper wore this design at a surprise showing of his Season 9 Yeezy collection, on Monday evening, in Paris. He received criticism and more as other celebrities walked out of the show or quit working for him.
Kanye addressed the audience about several incidents including his fall out with Gap as well as the robbery Kim Kardashian faced, in Paris, four years ago. He was joined by right-wing commentator Candace Owens. The divisive personality was smiling widely as she wore a complimentary sweater with the same slogan.

On Tuesday, he posted on Instagram about the BLM movement. He used a stark black background and kettering was in white-upper case. It read: “Everyone knows Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now it’s over. You’re welcome.”
Although some dismissed it as a childish post from a controversial rapper, others believe that it has deeper significance especially as White Lives Matter is considered to be a slogan for the far-right white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and others. This is ironical as he had accused ex-Kim Kardashian and some of her family members of being like the KKK.
Ye has also worn controversial clothing in the past including a jacket with a confederate flag on its sleeve. He also wore a Make America Great Again hat in public, when he met former president Donald Trump at the White House and when he performed on Saturday Night Live.
Kanye West is known for his controversial behavior and rants on social media. In the past he had personally attacked his ex Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson with weird posts, memes and violent videos and had also harassed her. He had also called out clothing and shoe brands. However, experts say that his social media stunts cannot be dismissed as childish behavior or marketing stunts as he has a huge fan following whom he influences.
