In an interview with Dazed magazine, she explained that her decision to switch her look stemmed from something that made her feel exhilarated about change. It showed her a different side of herself — “new, fresh and sexy.” The star also addressed the perception surrounding her Black origin.
The celebrity told the publication she had read that she was never surrounded by Black people as a child, which she denied. She described the rumor as “unbelievably crazy” and stated that her white Jewish mother was the “only real white influence” in her life.
