The two misdemeanor charges against Cardi B are related to the fights in August 2018. The rapper was sued after being implicated in a strip club altercation that happened then. According to reports, the rapper and her group allegedly targeted Angels Strip Club staff in Flushing, Queens, for what appeared to be a personal issue. During the argument with the bartender, chairs, bottles, and hookah pipes were hurled. The rapper and a worker both suffered minor injuries as a result of the fight. She entered a plea of guilty to third-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
Cardi was seen in the first image walking down the courthouse steps with a group of lawyers. She walked up the steps, tinted aviator glasses on, holding the arm of one of the lawyers. The rapper then posted two images of the courtroom, where a serious-looking Cardi grinned after casting a quick glance behind her.
The celebrity, in an interview, apologized for her behavior and said she had changed. According to her, these moments did not define her and were not reflective of who she is. After completing her 15 days of community service, Cardi will be able to move past the incident.
