Celebrity car racer, Danica Patrick is “very pleased” with her choice to have her breast implants removed after eight years and hundreds of health issues. She took to Instagram Story to tell the world how healthy she now feels after the removal of her implants.
The former NASCAR driver revealed in April that after years of coping with serious health issues such as hypothyroidism, hair loss, low estrogen levels, weight gain, and intestinal abnormalities, she chose to have them removed. And Patrick noticed an immediate difference.
Patrick revealed that her breast implants had ‘shrunk up’ due to scar tissue and were ‘deformed’ before she had them removed in May.
The former professional racing driver said Patrick’s body appeared to be fighting the implants after they were placed in November of 2014. It was a decision she took after she thought she did not look “feminine” enough, and one that she regretted.
Danica Patrick is regarded as the most successful woman in American open-wheel racing history. Her triumph in the 2008 Indy Japan 300 is the only female IndyCar Series victory. Her third-place in the 2009 Indianapolis 500 was the highest any woman had reached. She is known for her brand endorsements for Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Nationwide Insurance, and Tissot.
According to her, if one puts something unnatural inside the body, the body will defend itself; it will develop scar tissue around it for protection. These are called capsules, and her implants produced a large number of capsules.
Feeling grateful for sharing her experience with the world, the celebrity also felt that people need to be educated on the potential risks and side effects of breast implants, even while doctors assure safety.

Patrick had been “trying to hide [her health problems] for a long time,” but chose to make them public after her implants were discovered. She posted a healthy health update with her Instagram followers barely a week after having her ‘toxic’ implants removed.
The American race car driver rushed to Instagram to highlight all of the benefits she’s seen in the previous week, including a ‘healthy scalp,’ ‘natural face oil,’ and ‘no swollen lymph nodes,’ triumphantly adding, ‘The heal is real.’
The most successful open-wheel car racing driver also answered queries from her fans about her implant illness, sharing a photo of her removed implants and describing the incision placement, which for her was ‘across the nipple’ for both the original surgery and the explant.
