Celebrity Quarterback Tom Brady Asked Musk to Delete His NFL Photo from Twitter

On Thursday, after the news that Elon Musk had made a $43 billion bid for Twitter broke, American gridiron football quarterback Tom Brady asked Musk if he could pull off a fairly amusing favor, in the event of his takeover of the social media platform.

He asked Musk if he could delete Brady’s ‘NFL Combine photo’ from Twitter. Brady’s shot from the NFL Combine is legendary throughout the league; here’s why.

In 2000, the former Michigan quarterback was preparing to show off his abilities. The NFL shot a picture of an unremarkable-looking Brady in front of a screen with his stats behind him. Brady seems to be still haunted by this photo, even after 22 years.

Every year, Brady says he has been reminded of his famous unattractive combine shot since he was an afterthought in the draught. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was reportedly on the Twinkie 12 diet in 2000, where a person consumes 12 Twinkies per day, before becoming famous for his TB12 diet.

Matt Hasselbeck, a former Pro Bowl quarterback who now works as an ESPN analyst, replied to his tweet saying that the combine photo indicates that the TB12 system works.

Brady’s performance at the NFL combine in 2000 was not considered very good. The star quarterback was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2000, and is perhaps the most successful player in the team’s and NFL’s history.

He was a backup quarterback for the Patriots during his debut season, appearing in only one game. People had no idea that Tom Brady would go on to lead the Patriots and go on to win Super Bowl victories seven times and be awarded the game’s Most Valuable Player in five of them.

Tom Brady’s net worth is estimated to be $250 million. Brady is the 64th richest celebrity, according to Forbes. His most recent two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers netted him almost $50 million, plus $9 million in bonus money.

Meanwhile, according to a source, Twitter was analyzing the Musk’s bid with the help of Goldman Sachs and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. The business was also preparing a poison pill as a precaution against Musk upping his stake as early as Friday. Twitter will not make a decision on Musk’s bid on Thursday. The board is debating the boundaries of the valuation procedure, after which it will ask its experts to assess the bid and await the results, the source reportedly revealed.
