On Sunday night, celebrity footballer Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany announced that they were expecting their second child. The couple already have a child together, called Sterling Skye, who was born just over a year ago, on February 20, 2021. They shared a series of cute photos on social media.
The couple shared the news on their individual Instagram stories, with three adorable photos. In the first photo the NFL QB and Brittany sat outside on a bright summer’s day. They wore similar outfits that consisted of ripped jeans and beige shirts. Their first daughter Sterling Skye held up a sign that read, “Big Sister Duties Coming Soon.” All three of them were smiling into the camera.
In the second photo Patrick and Brittany gazed affectionately at their first daughter as they sat on green grass, with a beautiful tree and sunshine in the background, similar to photo one. In the third photo, indoors, the couple cuddled their daughter as they held a photo of an ultrasound between them. The caption was “Round 2!”
Patrick and Brittany are high school sweethearts. In February 2020, the celebrity Kansas City Chiefs quarterback got a Super Bowl ring after his NFL team won against the San Francisco 49ers. Brittany ran towards him and kissed him enthusiastically. A few months later, in September, he asked her to be his wife at the Arrowhead Stadium, with a romantic flower filled proposal and a dazzling diamond ring worth about $150,000.

In March 2022, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews got married in an extravagant ceremony in Hawaii, with their first daughter in attendance. Brittany wore an exquisite Versace original. Her gown had a classy bodice and was filled with crystal embellishments. It had a long train. Patrick Mahomes wore an outfit by French design house Louis Vuitton. About two months later, the couple have announced that they are expecting their second child, together.
