Laney Chantal, an American celebrity makeup artist best known for her participation in the reality television series Face Off, has passed away. Chantal’s family stated in a public obituary that she died on October 31 in Milford, Michigan, from an “accidental drug overdose.”
Chantal, whose real name is Alaina Chantal Parkhurst, appeared in the Syfy cosmetic competition in addition to serving as the lead makeup artist for Lil Nas X’s “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” which won Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs 2021.
Chantal gained notoriety for her participation in the reality television programme Face Off and her work as the lead makeup artist for Lil Nas X’s “Montero,” which won video of the year at the MTV VMAs in 2021.
Her mother Brandy Parkhurst disclosed that the 33-year-old had been battling several mental problems in a post on Facebook on Friday. She continued by saying that her daughter had “overmedicated” on prescribed meds after having a serious anxiety attack that evening rather than “commit suicide” or die from “street narcotics.”
Chantal uploaded a photo of a pink coffin six months before to her passing.
The celebrity’s family requested donations in her honor to support mental health awareness because she struggled with numerous mental diseases throughout her entire life. Because they did not want rumors starting, the family wrote a “cause of death” to the obituary, according to Parkhurst, whose daughter died.
Parkhurst claimed that after completing a nutritional recovery programme in California, she had been in a “good place.” She worked hard and struggled every day, but she was still able to produce the most incredible artwork. The post stated, “Her skills were wicked good.”
The celebrity could handle any task, her family said. On the sets of videos and movies, she collaborated with numerous bands and actors. She enjoyed making her monsters and her offspring. The 33-year-old makeup artist received tributes from family and friends, who remembered her as someone who was truly “loved by all.”
