Celebrity Madonna’s son David Banda recently said he is “scavenging” for food. The 18-year-old son of the Queen of Pop is the latest child to move out of her glitzy apartment in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
Banda, a musician, said he is living in the Bronx with his 21-year-old girlfriend, Maria Atuesta. Some web fans were surprised, but many were happy that the 18-year-old is taking steps towards leading an independent life.
David Banda spoke about living alone. He said, “I love it. I’m not alone; I’ve got my girlfriend, but I love it.”
He also said on Instagram Live, “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging. It’s fun to be young.”
David Banda is a budding musician. According to his social media page, he teaches guitar classes and is a model.
David Banda has also mentioned his famous mother, Madonna. He said that the 65-year-old pop sensation is in a relationship. He said that Madonna was “not single,” that she was “dating a guy,” and that she would do what she wanted as it was her life.
Madonna had adopted David Banda from Malawi when he was one year old. She was then married to Guy Ritchie. In 2019, she told British Vogue, “What he has more than anything is focus and determination.”
Madonna postponed her Celebration Tour after contracting a nasty infection. After recovering, she posted her heartfelt gratitude to her children.
Madonna wrote, “As a mother, you can get caught up in your children’s needs and the seemingly endless giving. But my children showed up for me when the chips were down. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference,” and more. She added photos of her children to this post.
Madonna is the mother of the following children: She welcomed Lourdes Leon, 27, with Carlos Leon; she welcomed Rocco, 23, with former husband Guy Ritchie; she adopted David, Mercy, 18; and 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere.
