Celebrity Lady Gaga has been sued by the lady who was charged in connection with the theft of Lady Gaga’s dogs, more than two years ago. Jennifer McBride returned the singer’s dogs and is now asking for the $500,000 reward that Lady Gaga had said that she would pay with “no questions asked.”
In February 2021, Lady Gaga announced a $50k reward for the return of her dogs. The celebrity singer’s dogs had been stolen at gunpoint. The thieves had shot her dog walker Ryan Fischer and escaped with two of the three dogs he was walking.

Several men pulled up next to Fischer as he was walking the dogs belonging to Lady Gaga, in Los Angeles. They not only stole the dogs but also shot him, leaving him injured on the pavement. Neighbors rescued him, and he was admitted to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries and later discharged.
Jennifer McBride said that she returned the dogs to Lady Gaga on February 26. The dogs were handed over to the celebrity singer at the LAPD Olympic Community station; two days after they were stolen.
LA County Deputy District Attorney Michele Hanisee told TMZ that Jennifer McBride was aware of the fact that the pups had been stolen. She had returned them, hoping to get a reward. She was familiar with the men who were involved with the stealing and was allegedly dating the father of one of the men who had been responsible for the assault on the dog walker.
Hanisee also told the outlet that it was her belief that the group thought that McBride’s involvement would remain undetected as she was a white woman.
James Howard Jackson, who pulled the trigger, was charged with one count of attempted murder, and pleaded no contest. He received a 21-year prison term. McBride was charged with receiving stolen property as well as being an accessory to the crime.

McBride pleaded no contest to one count of receiving stolen property. She got a two-year probation term. She is not only suing Lady Gaga for the $500,000 reward but also wants the court to increase the damages to $1.5 million as the celebrity singer allegedly posted a misleading reward.
