On Wednesday, celebrity actress and Johnny Depp’s former girlfriend, Kate Moss, took the stand as the first rebuttal witness in the defamation suit filed by the actor against his ex-wife.
The British model denied that Depp had ever pushed her, kicked her, or tried to throw her down the stairs, as ex-wife Amber Heard claimed. She said that she slid down the stairs and hurt her back and Depp helped her to her room and got medical help.
Actress Amber Heard opened the door to Moss’ testimony when she claimed that at a violent argument, she feared Depp would push her sister down as he had done the same thing earlier with Moss. Johnny Depp was observed beaming as he watched his ex-girlfriend Kate Moss testify on his behalf during his defamation case against Amber Heard.
Dr. Shannon Curry, a clinical and forensic psychologist, questioned Heard’s expert, who diagnosed her with PTSD. She claimed that Dr. Hughes had falsified the tests and data that she used in her evaluation.
Taking the stand as the next witness, Johnny Depp faced Heard’s lawyer Meyers who questioned him on the part of Heard’s evidence in which she claims Depp did not help her earn the role of Mera in Aquaman. Depp replied that was not true, shooting down claims he tried to oust Heard from Aquaman.
The actor recalled the moment a vodka bottle thrown by Heard cut his fingertip. He said that the second bottle Heard hurled at him had severed his finger and showed the court the text he had sent to his doctor. He admitted to having used MDMA “six or seven times” in his life but denied ever taking ten pills at once.
Things got heated between Depp and Rottenborn during cross-examination when the lawyer questioned Depp about a series of negative texts allegedly sent by Depp, reports said. Depp claimed that the texts were to his personal assistant Stephen Deuters.
Meanwhile, Judge Penney Azcarate denied TMZ’s emergency motion to intervene to prevent a former employee Tremaine from testifying.
