Celebrity actor and director Justin Baldoni has countersued celebrity couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. He filed a lawsuit claiming $400 million in damages against co-star Blake Lively and her husband Reynolds. His suit claims civil extortion and defamation as well as invasion of privacy. In late December, Lively filed a suit against her It Ends With Us costar Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment as well as destruction of reputation.
Jason Baldoni filed a 179-page complaint against Lively and her team on Thursday. The complaint said that they had made a “duplicitous attempt to destroy him” and more.
The lawsuit also alleges a person called Taylor in a text message between Baldoni and Lively. Celebrity singer Taylor Swift is reportedly the person called Taylor, but her name has not been mentioned in the filing, nor has she been named a defendant.
The lawsuit also says that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds gradually asserted their will over the filming of It Ends With Us. They also mention a meeting between Baldoni, Blakely, Reynolds, and a “megacelebrity friend” at the New York penthouse of the power couple.
The 40-year-old actor and director also claims that Blake Lively exerted pressure on him by comparing herself to “Khaleesi” from the Game of Thrones and said she had “a few dragons” to support her.
Blake Lively’s legal team released a statement that said it was a classic case of an abuser trying “to turn the tables on the victim” and more.
The statement also mentioned shifting the “narrative to Ms. Lively” with false claims of seizing creative control, alienating the “cast from Mr. Baldoni,” and more.
