Celebrity Johnny Depp is once again in the news headlines as he sold prints of his artwork for much over three million dollars, on Thursday. The trial of Pirates Of The Caribbean actor, who was in the public eye for the defamation trial against his ex-wife Aquaman star Amber Heard, who also counter sued him, ended with both of them being awarded compensation as damages though he won about five times the amount she did. Depp joined longtime friend Beck on tour and jammed in England, during the verdict. Now, he has sold some of his artworks on Castle Fine Art and earned millions.
The Castle Fine Arts website which sold the artwork by Edward Scissorhands, faced, a temporary crash as the enthusiasm to acquire a piece of Depp was more than it could cope with. Within a few hours, the site sold his artwork for prices ranging at $4,800 and above for individual pieces. A set of four images sold for about $18,000. The 59-year old celebrity had announced the sale on Instagram.
The website put 780 pieces of art by Johnny Depp online. The limited edition collection by the site was described as one that “exists at the intersection of ‘Pop Art’ and ‘Street Art.’ It has also been called “pop art with a feeling.”
Johnny Depp has called this collection ‘Friends and Heroes.’ As its name suggests, it consists of bold portraits of people who have inspired him as well as people who are friends. Some of the celebrities who have featured in the collection include the following:

Castle Fine Arts has created a blog for the celebrity actor. It says that art has always been there for Johnny Depp, before acting and music. It also stated that “art” had always been “an important outlet for his creativity.”
Johnny Depp spoke on his art and said, “I’ve always used art to express my feelings and to reflect on those who matter most to me, my family, friends and people I admire.” The celebrity actor also said, “My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself and limited myself. No one should ever limit themselves.”
