
Celebrity Jeremy Renner has denied allegations that he sent unsolicited nudes to filmmaker Yi Zhou. His lawyer responded to public accusations by the director. He also said that the Hurt Locker actor and the director had briefly been together, but the actor later ignored her as he was not interested in pursuing a relationship. The director’s representative has shared her response on social media.
Renner’s lawyer has told multiple out outlets that the allegations made were “totally accurate and untrue.” The actor’s legal team has also sent a cease-and-desist letter to the director.
Yi Zhou has claimed on social media that actor Jeremy Renner had send her “personal and intimate photographs of himself.” She also said in an interview that his disturbing behaviour had led her to lock herself in a room when the actor was allegedly drunk and was yelling for a couple of hours.
Zhou also said that she had called him out privately after his misconduct and had asked him to behave in a proper manner. She asked for respect as a woman as well as a film maker. Instead, Renner allegedly threatened to call immigration/ICE on her. She said that this act had both shocked and frightened her.
Filmmaker Yi Zhou is standing by her claims and accusations against Jeremy Renner. She said that she has images of photo taken with him, and she has also saved meta data. Yi Zhou also shared the cease-and-desist letter on social media.
Jeremy Renner has been accused of similar behavior by his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, in 2019. The Mayor of Kingstown actor had denied the behavior and said that at that time that it had hurt his feelings.
Jeremy Renner and Yi Zhou have worked together on the documentary Chronicles of Disney as well as on an animated film.
