The singer has requested sole physical custody of Ender Ridley, their one-year-old son, multiple sources reported. The couple went to a Los Angeles Lakers game almost two years ago, and this was when they revealed they were expecting their first child together. Aydin posted a picture of them watching the game from courtside and raved about how “cool” it was.
Though the information was released today from multiple sources, Halsey actually submitted the paperwork on April 5 – almost three weeks ago. Fans were surely surprised to learn of the divorce. The Be Kind singer is well known for keeping her personal affairs secret. After all, the Without Me singer shocked her audience in 2021 when she made her pregnancy announcement. Fans were not aware of the singer’s relationship status at the time.

Alev and Halsey’s split was amicable, according to insiders. In addition, sources claimed that “the split with them is totally amicable and they are co-parenting, they are going to raise their son together.” This claim is supported by Halsey’s petition for joint legal custody, joint financial responsibility, and visiting rights. Reliable sources claim that Halsey was compelled to file legal paperwork because of an upcoming tour. To be able to bring Ender on tour, Halsey had to submit the required paperwork to the courts.

Alev Aydin, a Turkish-American screenwriter, and Halsey were initially connected in 2018. Alev was hired to write the screenplay for a biographical film about Halsey at the start of their romance. The Closer singer claimed that the project was put on hold when the two fell head over heels in love. The couple got identical tattoos in 2020 as a creative expression of their love. As a visual indication of their growing love, Halsey and Alev decided on tattoos that resembled seeds.
