The Fast and Furious actor and WWE legend discussed the topic and said that he had been approached by multiple political parties at the end of last year. The approach came after a poll indicated that many Americans had been open to the idea of him running for the president.
During an interview on the podcast What Now? with Trevor Noah, the celebrity actor and pro wrestler discussed the topic of a presidential run after he was approached by multiple parties. He didn’t mention the names of the parties but said that they had visited him and brought up the results of a poll that showed that he could be a real contender.
A 2021 political poll reported that 46 percent of Americans said that they would vote for Dwayne The Rock Johnson. He told celebrity host Trevor Noah that he was “blown away” and was “really honored.”
The celebrity dad of three described the experience as “very surreal” as he explained that it had never been his goal. He also said that it had not been his goal and that there was “a lot about politics that I hate.”
