Anne Heche’s automobile struck the garage of an apartment complex first, then she sped away and struck another structure, this time a house, sparking a fire. Heche was eventually extricated from the automobile after 65 minutes of fighting the fire, which had consumed both Heche’s car and the house it had collided into. The woman who live In the house lived there for many years as a renter. Everything was destroyed in the home and there is a GoFundMe page set up for the woman.
LAFD said a fire was sparked when the car stopped inside the two-story house, and it took nearly 60 firemen more than an hour to put it out.
Video showed a woman was seen attempting to sit up while being placed on a stretcher as firefighters tried to get her into an ambulance while a badly burned and damaged blue Mini Cooper Clubman was being hauled out of the house.
Video seen from a house on the street of the quiet West LA Mar Vista neighborhood show Heche speeding at perhaps 70 miles an hour. Los Angeles Police Department says that Heche could face charges ranging from a DUI, speeding and hit-and-run. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported Heche suffered significant injuries and serious burns.
According to LAPD Officer Tony Im, Heche’s speeding automobile struck the house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles’ Westside after hitting a T-shaped intersection. The police will be investigating the speeding accident if alcohol was involved.
