On Wednesday, it was reported that Sebastian Stan, best known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will play a younger version of Trump in an upcoming film that may be based off the titled TV show “The Apprentice” The movie is going to be made by filmmaker Ali Abbasi. The film will be about former President Donald Trump’s New York real estate business from the 1980s and 1990s.
Acclaimed director Abbasi’s most recent projects include directing HBO’s The Last of Us for the first season and the 2022 film Holy Spider. Fox News founder Roger Ailes is writing the new movie.
Actor Jeremy Strong is supposed to play the late prosecutor and lawyer Cohn in the film. Cohn was well-known for his collaboration with US Senator Joseph McCarthy during the 1950s on a number of federal investigations into communists, a movement known as “McCarthyism.” Cohn went on to practice law in New York City, where he represented Trump, among other people.
