Celebrity actor Johnny Depp is reportedly in a relationship with a lawyer who represented him in a UK lawsuit. This week, it was revealed that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor is in a relationship with Rich, one of the defense lawyers who defended him in his libel case in 2018. The two have actually been dating longer than what was initially believed, but there are currently no intentions for them to become an exclusive relationship. According to a source, “they are dating but it’s not serious.”

He won that case; a jury determined that Heard, although not mentioning him by name in her 2018 Washington Post op-ed against domestic violence, had defamed him. Heard received a $2 million award for one of her three defamation countersuit claims, while Depp received more than $10 million in damages. Both of them are appealing the judgments.

Although Rich was not this time on Depp’s defense team, she did appear in court multiple times to show her support for the star. On May 3, she was captured on camera with Depp outside the courthouse, and on May 16 she was seen hugging Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, inside the courtroom.

Rich, who has “expertise in libel, privacy, and copyright” conflicts, is described in her bio as helping people and families in the public eye defend “their privacy and reputations.” In print, online, and on social media, she “works to defend clients reputations against false and defamatory allegations.” In a lawsuit against the owners of the Mail last year, her firm also defended Meghan Markle.

Since the Virginia defamation lawsuit earlier this year, there have been rumors concerning the celebrity actor’s romantic life. His attorney Vasquez rejected the social media claim that she was dating her movie star client.
