Celebrity actor Ioan Gruffudd is said to have obtained a three-year restraining order against Alice Evans, his estranged wife, after she allegedly harassed him and Bianca Wallace, his girlfriend, on social media. A source reportedly revealed that the actor had no choice but to escalate his legal battle against Alice. She was becoming “increasingly volatile” and was bent on destroying his career, the source said.
The 48-year-old was reportedly in the Los Angeles courtroom to witness the granting of a domestic violence restraining order, while his wife was not present. Gruffudd, in the filing claims that Evans used her social media accounts to harass, threaten, and disturb his and his girlfriend’s peace. He said that he requested her to refrain from sharing any texts or messages or contacting his boss. The “Fantastic Four” actor sought the restraining order in February, requesting that Evans refrain from contacting or approaching him and Wallace within 100 yards.
According to the petitions, the Fifth Officer of Titanic claimed that Evans threatened to tell people he had “abused her and her daughters” and that she would “call the police on [him]” if he did not comply with her demands. She also allegedly threatened to “write a fake diary” about an abused victim and have it published; and… threatened to destroy [his] mother, Margaret Griffiths.
The Welsh actor denied the allegations, claiming that his complaint was a “ploy to gain some sort of advantage” over her in the divorce proceedings. She also accused him of spending money that should have gone towards the children’s education and upbringing. Evans revealed that she had no money as she had given up her career for the family.
The celebrity star met Evans on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000, and married her in 2007, filed for divorce in March 2021, after the actor claimed on Twitter in January that year that he had abandoned their family. Gruffudd and Wallace made their Instagram debut in October 2021. Evans posted a scathing message about Wallace on social media months later, in January 2022.
