Cartier, the iconic French designer house has immortalized the panther or the Panthère de Cartier as it is called by them. Did you know that director of Cartier Jewelry Jeanne Toussaint was responsible for creating this iconic design for several jewelry items when she saw a panther in the wild, while she was on a safari in Africa with French founder Louis Cartier?

The much coveted iconic Panthère is an object of desire. It has a fascinating effect on both the wearer and the person who looks and admires it on a neck, a wrist or a finger. The wild cat in gold and onyx was placed above an enormous 116.74 carat emerald that was provided by the Duke of Windsor from his personal collection.
