On Wednesday, the much awaited Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick is unveiling at Cannes. The movie is expected to be a blockbuster. Tom Cruise got an all-star welcome by Thierry. The cast of Top Gun: Maverick walked the red carpet mainly in tuxedos and love interest in the movie, Jennifer Connelly wore a beautiful Louis Vuitton gown. However, not much of after partying is expected after the special screening as Cruise will be flying to London, later in the evening.
The star landed at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday. Fans waited for hours to get a glimpse of him and cheered him. They stood outside the palm lined venue and shouted his name as he stepped out a car whose windows were blacked. He looked good and was wearing a Blue suit and sunglasses. His hair looked slight tousled.
Tom Cruise will be 60 years old on July 3, this year. However, the attractive star stuns not only with his looks but also with his stunts, which he performs, without using a body double. He continues to walk on a razor’s edge as his actions become more ambitious and also dangerous. At the press conference, Tom Cruise looked athletic as he wore a dark sweater and trousers. He approached each question seriously with pure energy and absolutely no cynicism. He did not share any racy anecdotes. The times the charismatic star erupted was when he was asked difficult questions including whether he had faced pressure to take Top Gun: Maverick to a small instead of a large screen.
Tom Cruise said, “Let me tell you, that’s not gonna happen.” Everyone started and screaming and cheering after his reply.
Another strong reaction came from him when French journalist and Cruise’s superfan Didier Allouch asked him why he did his own stunts when he was a family man.

Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly began its run on May 17 and will be a top draw at Cannes till May 28.
