The Toronto Ultra locked down the No. 2 seed for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 3 Major by beating the New York Subliners 3-1 on Sunday as qualifying action came to an end.

Toronto was one of three teams to enter the final day of qualifying with a 5-1 record. The other two squads, OpTic Texas and the Los Angeles Thieves, were pitted against each other, meaning only one could improve to 6-1.

That ended up being OpTic, which downed Los Angeles 3-1.

Although Texas and the Ultra both finished qualifying at 6-1, Toronto had a one-map advantage in win-loss differential (plus-12 to plus-11), allowing it to come away with the second seed.

The Atlanta FaZe had already locked up the No. 1 seed on Saturday, closing qualifying with a perfect 7-0 record.

In Sunday’s other match, the Miami Heretics swept the Los Angeles Guerrillas 3-0.

All 12 CDL teams played seven qualifying matches ahead of the Stage 3 Major, which starts Thursday in Toronto. Every team is headed to the double-elimination tournament, and the qualifying matches determined seeding. Each qualifier win was worth 10 points.

Whichever team wins the major will get $150,000 and 100 CDL points. The total prize pool is worth $375,000, with the top eight teams at the event splitting those funds.

Toronto won the Stage 1 Major in January. Atlanta won the Stage 2 Major in March.

On Sunday, the Ultra and Subliners split the first two maps before Toronto prevailed 3-2 on Invasion Control and 250-158 on Karachi Hardpoint.

OpTic and Los Angeles saw their match play out similarly. The teams were tied 1-1 before Texas pulled away with a 3-2 win on Invasion Control and a 250-86 blowout on Vista Hardpoint.

Miami was never threatened by the Guerrillas, polishing off the sweep with a 3-0 rout on Karachi Control.

As for major play, the top eight seeds will start in the winners bracket, where four first-round matches will be played. Losers of those matches are sent to the elimination bracket to square off with a bottom-four seed.

Seeding for the Stage 3 Major is as follows:
1. Atlanta FaZe
2. Toronto Ultra
3. OpTic Texas
4. Los Angeles Thieves
5. New York Subliners
6. Carolina Royal Ravens
7. Seattle Surge
8. Miami Heretics
9. Vegas Legion
10. Minnesota Rokkr
11. Los Angeles Guerrillas
12. Boston Breach
