The New York Subliners were comeback winners while the Vegas Legion and Los Angeles Thieves also grabbed victories to kick off qualifying for the Call of Duty League’s Major IV on Friday.

The Subliners rallied from a map behind to defeat the Atlanta FaZe 3-2, while the Legion defeated the Boston Breach 3-1 and the Thieves swept the London Royal Ravens 3-0 in the event’s first day.

None of Friday’s three winners finished in the top four of Major III, which was won by the Toronto Ultra on Sunday.

Major IV, which includes all 12 Call of Duty League teams, runs through April 16 with each victory worth 10 CDL points

New York opened with a 250-211 win on Hardpoint Embassy, but Atlanta grabbed a 2-1 lead by claiming both Search & Destroy Breenbergh Hotel (6-4) and Control Breenbergh Hotel (3-1). The Subliners rallied, taking wins on Hardpoint Breenbergh Hotel (250-226) and Search & Destroy El Asilo (6-5). Preston “Priestahh” Greiner produced a match-best 100 kills and plus-1.28 kills-to-deaths differential for New York.

Vegas snuck past Boston for a 250-249 victory on Hardpoint Al Bagra Fortress and followed by winning 6-4 on Search & Destroy El Asilo for a quick 2-0 lead. Boston stayed in the match by claiming a 3-1 win on Himmelmatt Expo before the Legion won 250-182 on Hardpoint Embassy for the match. Thomas “TJHaLy” Haly led the all-American Legion lineup with 63 kills while teammate Eli “Standy” Bentz tallied 60.

The day’s biggest blowout came courtesy of the Thieves, who began with a 250-101 rout over London on Hardpoint Mercado Las Almas. L.A. then blanked the Royal Ravens the rest of the way, winning 6-0 on Search & Destroy Embassy and 3-0 on Control El Asilo. Kenneth “Kenny” Williams had 46 kills for the U.S.-based Thieves as all four starters produced positive K/D ratios.

Action picks up again Saturday with four matches:
–Minnesota Rokkr vs. Florida Mutineers
–Boston Breach vs. Toronto Ultra
–Los Angeles Guerrillas vs. Minnesota Rokkr
–Los Angeles Thieves vs. Seattle Surge

–Field Level Media
