OpTic Texas defeated the Toronto Ultra 3-1 on Sunday to remain the only undefeated team in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Major V.

Texas opened the match with a 250-221 win on Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint before taking Embassy Seach & Destroy, 6-4. The Ultra bit back with a 3-2 victory on Breenbergh Hotel Control, but OpTic used a 250-223 win on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint to seal the outcome and improve to 4-0.

Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro of the United States had a team-high 63 kills for Texas, while teammate Brandon “Dashy” Otell of Canada recorded OpTic’s best kills-deaths ratio (plus-1.25). However, Toronto’s Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst of the U.S. had the best individual performance of the game, tallying 68 kills and a plus-1.26 K-D differential, both of which were match bests.

Major V qualifying, which includes all 12 Call of Duty League teams, runs through May 21, with each victory worth 10 CDL points. Double elimination bracket play is scheduled for May 25-28 in Toronto, with the championship team receiving $200,000 from the $500,000 prize pool plus 65 CDL points.

In other Sunday action, the Vegas Legion staged a comeback to beat the Minnesota Rokkr 3-2 and the Seattle Surge took down the Boston Breach, 3-1.

Vegas dropped two of the first three maps in its match, but prevailed on Embassy Hardpoint (250-193) and Mercado Las Almas Search & Destroy (6-3) to stun the Rokkr.

The Surge got off to a fast start, jumping out to a 2-0 lead against Boston. The Breach then took Breenbergh Hotel Control (3-1), but Seattle finished Boston off with a 250-227 triumph on Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint.

All three of Sunday’s matches were Bounty Matches, meaning each of the winners earned an additional $10,000.

Qualifying action continues Friday with three matches:
