OpTic Texas outlasted the Boston Breach 3-2 on Friday to remain undefeated in qualifying for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 2 Major.

Texas moved to 5-0 to match the idle New York Subliners atop the standings.

OpTic opened the match with a one-sided 250-92 win on Karachi Hardpoint, but the Breach soon took over by winning 6-3 on Terminal Search and Destroy and 3-2 on Invasion Control. Texas won 250-176 on Rio Hardpoint to force a fifth map, then held off Boston 6-5 on Karachi Search and Destroy for the narrow victory.

All 12 CDL teams will play seven qualifying matches ahead of the Stage 2 Major, scheduled for March 21-24 in Miami. Every team will advance to the double-elimination tournament, with the qualifying matches determining seeding. The top eight teams in the qualifying standings will get a bye in the first round of the tournament.

Each qualifier win is worth 10 points. The prize pool for the tournament (money and CDL points) has yet to be announced.

In Friday’s other two matches, the Atlanta FaZe swept the Los Angeles Thieves 3-0 and the Carolina Royal Ravens defeated the Los Angeles Guerrillas 3-1.

Atlanta beat the Thieves 250-174 on Invasion Hardpoint before cruising to a 6-0 win on Karachi Search and Destroy and a 3-0 result on Karachi Control.

Carolina topped the Guerrillas 250-198 on Sub Base Hardpoint before dropping a 6-2 decision on Highrise Search and Destroy. But the Royal Ravens motored ahead with a 3-1 triumph on Highrise Control and finished things off 250-187 on Skidrow Hardpoint.

Qualifying action continues Saturday with three matches:
–Los Angeles Guerrillas vs. New York Subliners
–Minnesota Rokkr vs. Seattle Surge
–Atlanta FaZe vs. Boston Breach

Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major qualifying standings (points, match win-loss record, map win-loss differential):
1. New York Subliners, 50 points, 5-0, plus-11
2. OpTic Texas, 50 points, 5-0, plus-9
