The Atlanta FaZe and OpTic Texas each won their second-round matches in the upper bracket on Saturday and will face off Sunday for a spot in the grand final in the Call of Duty League Stage 2 Major in Miami.

The FaZe got their win first, narrowly escaping a reverse sweep to edge the New York Subliners 3-2. After Atlanta won 250-186 on Rio Hardpoint and 6-2 on Terminal Search & Destroy, the Subliners took Highrise Control 3-2 and Invasion Hardpoint 250-168. But the FaZe bounced back and won 6-3 on Invasion Search & Destroy to advance.

OpTic matched FaZe with a fast start in their match, beating the Toronto Ultra 250-217 on Karachi Hardpoint and 6-2 on Invasion Search & Destroy. Ultra avoided a sweep with a 3-2 win on Invasion Control but OpTic took Skidrow Hardpoint 250-200 to take the match.

The day began with the Carolina Royal Ravens edging the Vegas Legion 3-2 in an elimination match and advancing to face the Subliners in the lower bracket. That was the day’s biggest blowout, however, as New York swept Carolina 3-0. The Ultra joined the Subliners with a bounce-back win, taking down the Los Angeles Guerrillas 3-1 in an elimination match.

The Ultra and Subliners will play the first match Sunday, with the winner taking on the loser of the OpTic-FaZe match in the lower-bracket final.

The grand final will also be played Sunday.

The winning team gets $150,000 of the event’s $375,000 prize pool. The winner also gets 100 CDL points.
