The Seattle Surge, who finished as runner-up at the Call of Duty League’s Major I last month, dropped their opening match in qualifying for Major II on Friday.

The Vegas Legion came from behind to score a 3-2 win over the Surge.

In other action on the opening day of Major II qualifying, the Toronto Ultra swept the London Royal Ravens 3-0 and the Boston Breach downed the Minnesota Rokkr 3-0.

Major II, which will include all 12 Call of Duty League teams, is scheduled to be played in Boston from Feb. 2-5. Qualifying for the event continues through Jan. 29.

The Surge opened with a 250-241 win on Embassy Hardpoint before the Legion claimed El Asilo Search and Destroy 6-2. Seattle took Al Bagra Fortress Control 3-0, but Vegas stormed back to capture Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint 250-216 and Al Bagra Fortress Search and Destroy 6-3.

James “Clayster” Eubanks of the United States led Vegas with 88 kills and a 1.14 kill-death ratio. Australia’s Amer “Pred” Zulbeari topped Seattle with 88 kills and a 1.21 K-D ratio.

Toronto got past London 250-166 on Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint, 6-4 on Embassy Search and Destroy and 3-2 on Breenbergh Hotel Control.

Thomas “Scrap” Ernst of the United States posted 72 kills and a 1.38 K-D ratio for the Ultra. Canada’s Obaid “Asim” Asim had 69 kills and a 1.03 K-D ratio for the Royal Ravens.

Boston crushed Minnesota 250-144 on Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint, 6-3 on El Asilo Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Breenbergh Hotel Control.

Reece “Vivid” Drost of the United States recorded 56 kills and a 1.30 K-D ratio for the Breach. Another U.S. player, Dillon “Attach” Price, topped the Rokkr with 43 kills and a 1.02 K-D ratio.
