The Atlanta FaZe and Toronto Ultra stand one win from the Call of Duty League Stage 1 Major grand final after winning their winners bracket semifinal matches Saturday in Boston.

The two will face off Sunday in the winners bracket final, with the winner advancing to the grand final, also to be played Sunday.

Though both the FaZe and Ultra won on Saturday, they did so in very different ways.

The FaZe fell behind early to OpTic Texas then blew a shot at locking up the match before finally winning in five maps — losing 250-188 on Sub Base Hardpoint before winning 6-4 on Invasion Search & Destroy and 3-1 on Highrise Control, then losing 250-239 on Invasion Hardpoint before sealing the victory, 6-2 on Highrise Search & Destroy.

The Ultra made quick work of the Minnesota Rokkr, winning 250-224 on Skidrow Hardpoint, 6-3 on Karachi Search & Destroy and 3-2 on Invasion Control to earn the sweep.

Not all was lost for the losing teams, however.

After losing to the FaZe, OpTic Texas dropped to losers bracket to face the Seattle Surge — a 3-2 winner over the Carolina Royal Ravens in an elimination match to open play Saturday. OpTic Texas quickly rebounded from its loss with a 3-1 win — taking Sub Base Hardpoint 250-165, losing 6-4 on Terminal Search & Destroy, then winning 3-0 on Invasion Control and 250-137 on Terminal Hardpoint to win the match.

The Rokkr then faced the Los Angeles Guerillas in the day’s final match, another losers bracket Round 3 battle. A back-and-forth effort from the get-go, Los Angeles took Karachi Hardpoint 250-215, Minnesota won 6-4 on Invasion Search & Destroy, the Guerillas won 3-2 on Invasion Control and the Rokkr took Skidrow Hardpoint 250-135 to set up a win-or-go-home scenario on Terminal Search & Destroy. Minnesota took that one 6-3.

The Rokkr and OpTic will open Sunday’s action with a losers bracket semifinal.

Sunday’s schedule —
–Losers-bracket semifinal: Minnesota Rokkr vs. OpTic Texas
–Winners-bracket final: Toronto Ultra vs. Atlanta FaZe
–Losers-bracket final: Rokkr-OpTic loser vs. Ultra-FaZe loser
–Grand final: Rokkr-OpTic winner vs. losers bracket winner
