The Boston Breach won convincingly Friday to remain one of three unbeaten teams in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Major V.

The Breach took down the Florida Mutineers 3-0 and have won six of seven maps at this stage of qualifying thus far. In other matches, the Atlanta FaZe (2-1) also earned a 3-0 sweep over the Vegas Legion (1-2) while the Los Angeles Guerrillas (1-2) defeated the 0-2 London Royal Ravens, 3-1.

Major V qualifying, which includes all 12 Call of Duty League teams, runs through May 21, with each victory worth 10 CDL points. Double elimination bracket play is scheduled for May 25-28 in Toronto, with the championship team receiving $200,000 from the $500,000 prize pool plus 65 CDL points.

Boston wasted no time jumping all over Florida and claimed successive maps on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint (250-232), Embassy Search & Destroy (6-4) and finally Breenbergh Hotel Control (3-1). Ben “Beans” McMellon of the United Kingdom and Reece “Vivid” Drost each tallied 34 kills, with Beans posting a match-best 1.48 kills-to-deaths differential.

The FaZe had an easier time Friday with the Legion. After a 250-144 blowout victory on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint, Atlanta scored wins on Mercado Las Almas (6-1) and El Asilo Control (3-2) for the triumph. Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat carried the day with 55 kills and an eye-popping 1.67 K/D ratio in victory.

The Guerrillas jumped out to a one-map edge by taking Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint 250-152, but the Royal Ravens evened things with a 6-3 win on Al Bagra Fortress Search & Destroy. It was soon over for London, as L.A. scored a 3-2 victory on Himmelmatt Expo Control and 250-104 win on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint. Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero had match highs with 67 kills and a 1.46 K/D differential.

Qualifying action continues Saturday with four matches — three of them designated as Bounty Matches worth an extra $10,000 to the winners of each:
–London Royal Ravens vs. Atlanta FaZe (Bounty Match)
