The Boston Breach finally broke through in qualifying action for the Call of Duty League’s Stage 4 Major, rallying for a 3-2 victory over OpTic Texas on Saturday.

Boston opened qualifying with a five-match losing streak, and it looked like it was headed for a sixth straight setback when OpTic sandwiched victories on 6 Star Hardpoint (250-172) and Karachi Control (3-2) around a 6-4 loss on 6 Star Search & Destroy.

But the Breach took over from there, edging Texas 250-233 on Rio Hardpoint before taking Rio Search & Destroy 6-1 to get into the win column.

All 12 teams taking part in qualifying will make the Major 4 bracket, which begins Thursday in Burbank, Calif., and runs through June 30. Seeding will be determined by the qualifying matches, which conclude Sunday.

The tournament will have a double-elimination format, with all matches best-of-five until the grand final, which is best-of-seven. The winner will get 100 CDL points and $150,000 of the $375,000 prize pool, while the runner-up will come away with 75 CDL points and $90,000.

Unlike Boston, the Atlanta FaZe have had plenty of success in qualifying, and they didn’t slow down on Saturday.

Atlanta beat Miami 3-1, opening up a 2-0 lead against the Heretics before dropping Highrise Control 3-1. However, the Miami rally was short-lived, and the FaZe earned a 250-195 win on 6 Star Hardpoint to snuff any chance of a comeback.

The Seattle Surge followed the exact same path to victory as Atlanta, and it was their 250-139 drubbing of the Los Angeles Guerrillas on Rio Hardpoint that completed a 3-1 win.

In the final match of the night, the Vegas Legion swept the Minnesota Rokkr 3-0.

Qualifying action concludes on Sunday with three matches:
–OpTic Texas vs. Toronto Ultra
–Carolina Royal Ravens vs. Boston Breach
–Los Angeles Thieves vs. New York Subliners

Stage 4 Major qualifying standings (point total, match record, game win-loss differential):
1. Atlanta FaZe, 60 points, 6-1, plus-11
2. Toronto Ultra, 50 points, 5-1, plus-9
3. New York Subliners, 40 points, 4-2, plus-1
4. Seattle Surge, 40 points, 4-3, plus-5
5. Miami Heretics, 40 points, 4-3, plus-1
