The Vancouver Surge, Boston Breach and OpTic Texas were winners on Sunday as the Call of Duty League’s Stage 4 Major qualifying round concluded.
The Stage 4 Major qualifying round featured the league’s 12 teams playing five matches apiece to determine seeding for the Stage 4 Major playoffs, slated for May 23-25 in Dallas.
The Miami Heretics, who last played on Saturday, finished 5-0 with a plus-nine match differential to capture the top seed. The Atlanta FaZe, also in action on Saturday, finished second in the standings at 4-1 with a plus-8 differential.
The Boston Breach swept the Los Angeles Guerrillas M8 on Sunday, winning 250-118 on Rewind Hardpoint, 6-3 on Dealership Search & Destroy and 3-2 on Hacienda Control.
OpTic Texas edged Toronto Ultra 220-216 on Vault Hardpoint, then won 6-4 on Hacienda Search & Destroy and 3-1 on Protocol Control.
The Vancouver Surge emerged from a battle with Minnesota Rokkr by a 3-1 margin. The Surge won 250-173 on Vault Hardpoint, and Minnesota had a strong response with a 6-0 triumph on Rewind Search & Destroy. But Vancouver won 3-2 on Protocol Control and clinched the match with a 250-221 victory on Red Card Hardpoint.
