Forest fires have been blazing across Southern California these past weeks and have claimed 11 lives as well as thousands of homes and structures, including film star and celebrity homes. Hundreds of thousands of acres of land have been scorched.
Those who perished in the fire included people who did not evacuate as they either remained to fight the fire or thought that the fire would not reach their homes. Many celebrity stars living in Los Angeles moved away but lost their homes.

According to reports, more than 180,000 people, including Hollywood celebrities, had to be evacuated from Los Angeles and its surroundings. More than 10,000 structures have been destroyed in the fires, according to Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone.
