Caitlin Clark was listed as questionable for the Indiana Fever’s matchup Wednesday night against the host New York Liberty.
Clark suffered a right groin injury with just 39 seconds left in Tuesday’s 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun before a sold-out crowd in Boston. After feeding Kelsey Mitchell for a layup with less than a minute to go, Clark grabbed at her right groin area.
Clark, 23, previously missed four regular-season games and the Commissioner’s Cup final with a groin injury; however, that was listed as a left groin injury and Tuesday’s injury appears to be a separate issue.
Tuesday was Clark’s fourth game back since the left groin injury. She has missed 10 total games this season including the Commissioner’s Cup final with the groin injury, tightness in her quad and a quad strain.
The top overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft did not miss a single game in her four-year collegiate career or any games in her first season in the league last year.
She is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 13 games this season.
Clark is currently scheduled to participate in the 3-point contest during WNBA All-Star festivities in Indianapolis on Friday and will be one of the captains and starters for Saturday’s All-Star Game.
