The Portland Trail Blazers signed center Duop Reath to a standard NBA contract on Friday after he initially joined the team on a two-way deal.

General manager Joe Cronin announced the move but, according to team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As a rookie this season, Reath, 27, is shooting 47.5 percent from the field, averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in 40 games, including 11 starts. The LSU alum ranks ninth in the NBA among rookies in 3-point shots made (55), 12th in points per game (8.9) and rebounds per game (3.8) and 15th in blocks per game (0.5).

In April 2023, Reath signed with Al Riyadi Beirut of Lebanon, registering 21.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.5 blocks in 10 games. He also earned a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where he played for the Australian National Team along with current Trail Blazers teammate Matisse Thybulle.
