On Wednesday, Buckingham Palace announced that the younger son of King Charles III, Prince Harry will attend the King’s coronation ceremony at Westminster Abby in London on May 6. His wife, Meghan and their two children will not attend. More than 2000 guests are expected at the abbey. The invitations to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had been sent weeks ago and there had been speculation about whether they would attend or not, and the palace announcement has put these speculations to rest.
The upcoming visit will be Prince Harry’s second visit in the year. Earlier in March, he was seen at a court hearing in London. He and a host of other celebrity stars filed a case against Associated Newspapers. They claimed that the media group had breached their privacy. It has been reported that he did not meet his family in England, during this visit.
Last April, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Queen Elizabeth and stayed at Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor. They named their daughter Lilibet, after the queen, as it was her childhood nickname. King Charles reportedly asked them to leave the royal residence, a week after his son released a book that was filled with accusations against the royal family and caused a rift between them.

Prince Harry and his wife stepped away from royal duties in 2020. They moved to Montecito, California. After moving to the U.S.A., they began their own company. The celebrity couple appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show in 2021 and maligned the royal family in England. Meghan accused members of the royal family of racism. The royal family denied these reports.
Prince Harry also released his memoir called Spare early this year. In his book, he made several accusations against his brother Prince William, his father King Charles and Queen Camilla, who married his father after the death of his mother Princess Diana.
King Charles III, Prince William and other members of the royal family have not responded to Prince Harry’s claims in Spare. They have maintained a dignified silence, to date.
