According to TMZ, a member of Victor Wembanyama’s security team is accused of backhand slapping Britney Spears in Las Vegas after the pop diva requested a photo with the NBA rookie.
At the Catch restaurant inside the ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas, Spears, 41, allegedly sought to take a photo with Wembanyama, 19, by approaching the European basketball player and touching him on the shoulder. The director of team security for the San Antonio Spurs, according to TMZ, backhanded Spears in the face as she tapped the 7-foot-4 rookie, knocking her to the ground and ripping her glasses off.

“I was not prepared for what happened to me last night,” Spears wrote. Spears claims that the basketball player’s security guard “backhanded me in the face without looking back,” nearly knocking her over and causing me to fall off my face as a result.
When Spears apparently “composed herself” and made her way back to her table, the security guard apologized and said, “You understand how it is when you’re being swarmed by fans.”
After spending time with the security officer and, it appears, accepting the apology, Spears went to the police and reported a battery incident.
Britney Spears continued, “Fans swarm at me all the time. In reality, there were at least twenty of my fans that night who surrounded me. None of them were harmed by my security staff.
