Jax Taylor one of the original cast members of the show “Vanderpump Rules” has been axed from the show. Brittany Cartwright, his wife will also be absent from the show.
On Friday on a post on Instagram Taylor announced this news. He thanked Bravo as well as the show production company Evolution Media. His wife Cartwrigh who is pregnant also posted on Instagram that they were leaving the show.
A spokesperson from Bravo confirmed this news and told Variety that “Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will not be returning to ‘Vanderpump Rules.’”
Taylor did not seem to have seen his dismissal coming so soon. In October while answering a viewer’s question live on Instagram, he said, “Vanderpump Rules is supposed to go back to filming. In fact, we are supposed to go back to filming this month. I think that’s the last I heard.”
Although the show did well as per its Nielsen rating in its latest eight season it was overdue for a reboot. Taylor has behaved outrageously in the show and his ouster, especially after his tweets against Faith Stowers a Black former cast member was expected as some fans had asked Bravo to fire him as well when co-stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired.
The show is not on at the moment as restaurants in LA have remained closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
