The world was in shock when Celebrity superstar chef Anthony Bourdain died as a result of an apparent suicide on June 3, 2018. No one has been able to replicate his unique storytelling style and passion for food and travel. In 2018, while recording the location segments for his popular CNN series Parts Unknown, he hung himself in a hotel room in France. He had incredible talent, strong passions, and the power to influence people all around the world. In the four years since his passing, he has been sorely missed and is still well-remembered.
Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain, a new book by journalist Charles Leerhsen, offers insight into what Anthony Bourdain’s final dark days looked like by disclosing, among other things, texts Bourdain must have imagined would always remain secret. The books contests the idea that Bourdain was people’s hero. It says that he allegedly became engaged in heavy drinking dependent on steroids, and engaged in prostitution.
The unofficial new biography of Anthony Bourdain discloses the celebrity chef’s distress over his profession, his unhappy marriage, and his troubled love life with actor Asia Argento. The book also includes messages to his confidante Ottavia Busia-Bourdain and also reveals for the first time the celebrity chef’s text messages from the days preceding his suicide in 2018.
It is said that pictures that showed the Italian actress dancing with Hugo Clement journalist in a hotel in Rome, the Hotel de Russie, where Bourdain and Argento shared fond memories, had devastated Bourdain. The book reveals that in their final text message to each other, Bourdain asked: ‘Is there anything I can do?’ the book says Argento replied ‘Stop busting my balls’.
According to reports, to stop information leaks about the star’s final days, friends, family, and coworkers joined forces. They wished to shield his legacy and memory from the prying eyes of the public and the evil intentions of those who wished to defile what he had left behind. Amazingly, it also succeeded. Due to their efforts, very little was known about Bourdain’s final days; nevertheless, a new book blows the lid off of those final days, and many people believe this is a terrible thing, reports say.
Now, the biography of the late celebrity has been labeled ” “hurtful and defamatory fiction” by family and friends, yet the publishers are still putting it out there. Despite attempts by Bourdain’s brother to prevent publication, the book is scheduled for release on October 11.
