FBI enters the home of Brian Laundrie’s parents, Christopher and Roberta Laundrie declaring the home a crime scene. The parents were taken away on an FBI van. When agents swarmed in, they said the raid was in connection to Gabby Petito.
An autopsy will be done on Tuesday on a body found that authorities believe to be of missing Gabby Petito. The body was found in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park on Sunday.
The story begins when Gabby Petito and her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, embarked on a a cross-country trip in a converted van to visit national parks in the western half of the U.S. Gabby Petito is from Long Island and Brian Laundrie is from Florida. The couple were living together at Laundries parents home before their trip in July.
Gabby was reported missing by her parents and the first thing they did was ask Gabby’s boyfriend and his parents where she is. He drove back from their trip alone in the white van that was converted into a camper on Sept. 1st.
Immediately, Brian Laundrie obtained an attorney Steven Bertolino, Esq., and telling news outlets he has no comment at what is going on at the Laundrie home in North Port, Fla.Since Gabby has been missing Laundrie has refused to talk to the police about what might have happened to Gabby Petito.
So far, Brian Laundrie is only a person of interest in the Gabby Petito investigation and not yet named a suspect in what is believed to be Gabby Petito’s body found in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park on Sunday.
Since after his return, another turn of events happened to make this case even more perplexing, Laundrie, took off on what was believed to be a hike in the 25,000-acre nature preserve on Tuesday and hasn’t been seen or heard from again. His family reported him missing to police on Friday.
Gabby’s white van was spotted by a women traveling in the area which helped further the investigation. NPPD are in contact with the TikTok user, Miranda Baker, who claims she picked up Brian Laundrie, the boyfriend of missing woman Gabby Petito, when he was hitchhiking alone in Grand Teton National Park in late August The authorities believe her story is possibly credible.
The FBI formerly released this report: The FBI, in coordination with the National Park Service, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Police Department, and other state, and local law enforcement agencies across the country, are investigating the disappearance of Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito.
Ms. Petito, 22, was last known to be in the area of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming in late August 2021 and was reported missing on September 11, 2021. She was on a cross-country road trip with her boyfriend visiting national parks in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. She and her boyfriend were driving a white 2012 Ford Transit van with a variety of stickers on the back. The van is registered to Ms. Petito with Florida plate QFTG03.
