Billionaire hedge fund manager Seth Klarman shared his thoughts on crypto during an interview with Harvard Business School, released this week.
Klarman said he can’t see the point of crypto, adding that it feels to him “like catnip for techies”. According to Klarman, the idea of using more energy than Iceland in order to solve math problems that don’t need to be solved to mine extra crypto, seems crazy, and nobody needs to own it. Klarman added that owning it “could end up very much in tears” and highlighted that he is a fan of gold, which is valuable in a crisis.
