Americans for Prosperity Action backed by Koch had been searching for an alternative to Donald Trump this past year and have now announced in a memo that the Republican presidential candidate they will be backing in the primaries is Nikki Haley.
The Koch-backed superPAC has huge resources. It has indicated that these resources will be used to improve the electability of the former South Carolina governor, Nikki Haley.
SuperPAC Americans for Prosperity Action also started a campaign against Trump. They have spent millions to report that Donald Trump would lose a general election if he stood against President Joe Biden.
Supported by the billionaire Koch family and an enormous number of volunteers and staff across the nation, Americans for Prosperity Action has collected over $70 million. Koch has always been a longtime supporter of free market policies and has formulated a separate AFP Action memo that focuses only on Nikki Haley’s economic agenda.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was the recipient of AFP Action’s endorsement when he successfully ran for the post of Florida’s governor last year. However, the superPAC believes that Nikki Haley is the candidate for the 2024 presidential elections and has endorsed her, giving her the momentum to reach the No. 2 spots after Trump.
Nikki Haley has said that Trump’s time has passed and considers her time the future of the GOP. She has gained support from billionaire donors as well as opinion makers who believe that she is the best alternative to Trump.
The endorsement by Koch-backed AFP Action is expected to galvanize her campaign as it will give her access to field workers as well as direct-mail operations.
