If businesses want to replace human labor, there should be some repercussions, Bill Gates says. Very interesting concept and one I have not thought about until recently. Corporates want to spend as little on energy as possible to generate as much revenue. Gates also emphasizes the opportunities that arise from automation: “It is really bad that people are more afraid than enthusiasm for innovation.” In this way, they would repel these instead of shaping them. The labor force released by the automation needs to be used to bring more people into other services – such as education or care for the elderly – and to improve conditions there. One needs the control of the robots, in order to finance exactly that.
